Tuesday September 16 3:02 AM EDT Warnaco in talks to buy Designer -WSJ NEW YORK, Sept 16 (Reuter) - Warnaco Group Inc is in talks to buy Designer Holdings Ltd, the maker of Calvin Klein jeans, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people close to the talks. Terms of the potential deal could not be determined, the paper said in its electronic edition Tuesday. The stock market, however, valued Designer Holdings at $263.3 million, based on the company's closing share price of 8-3/16 per share, the paper said. Both companies declined to comment on the talks, the paper said. Warnaco makes Calvin Klein lingerie and underwear. Its shares closed up 9/16 Monday at 33-13/16.
