Dorgan returned money to an Indian tribe because he sits on the Indian Affairs Committee and perhaps Abramoff had some dealings with that same Indian tribe. Dorgan likely didn't do anything wrong, but he chose to return money. The money he got was not in any way from Abramoff or his company. But it created an appearance of an ethics problem and it wasn't worth it. Dorgan is the only democrat who has even a hint of a reason to return anything as none of them took a dime from Abramoff.

Now, why hasn't Bush given back the $100,000 Abramoff raised for him in 2004? and where are the millions in Abramoff money which disappeared into the Tom Delay maw in exchange for lesgislation costing US citizens billions of dollars?
