The Wash Times headline is inaccurate. That wasn't Ambramoff money, it was from an Indian tribe who had dealings with Abramoff. Dorgan chose to return the money rather than create an impression of an ethics conflict.

I said from the beginning that Dorgan may be the ONLY democrat who took a dime from Ambraoff, but Dorgan has now been cleared. The money came from the tribe itself and not in any way from Abramoff or his company. So the Washington Times should retract the story.

Also, as you know the Washington Times is an arm of the Republican party. It often puts out biased misleading stories critical of democrats. Like the ones about the Al Qaida training camps in Iraq which never existed.
