Don- I sold about 3/4 of my FDX options today. Although I've realized about a 200% profit in just over a month, for the most part my timing was off. For about 5 weeks FDX stalled in the 65-70 range. I bought too early (in August) because I figured that there would be earnings updates before 9/15, and the stock would start soaring. However, I bought a few cheap Octobers last Friday (when FDX was 66), and they've added nicely to my gain. I'm letting the rest of my options ride out for a week or two, and will sell fast if FDX drops below support at 75. ABF is my next target in air freight, and should announce earnings in late October. This time I'll probably start buying much closer to earnings. I just hope earnings updates on ABF don't make the stock jump prematurely. So, did you buy FDX too?
