Way back when, before starting this thread, I started out as a sceptic on GIFT. As I posted way back, a dear old friend, who is a patent atty was w IBM. IBM was the 1st licensee. I asked him if he ever heard of GIFT. It happened that he did.

He was quite familiar with it. As the license terms were confidential, he would not give me any of the details. However, what I got from him was that the patent was basically valid. The only "if and or but" was that some claims may have been overly broad and may be "narrowed by the Court". That is what initially convinced me and I have not seen ANYTHING since that has shaken my opinion.

If you have lost your faith, put in your sell order. I am still accumulating. mel
