To all:
Over the past year, I've seen several posts on this thread (most recently Mark Meandro's) suggesting that as the options expiration date approaches, MM somehow attempt to manipulate the price of AMAT stock so as to maintain it at desired levels. Is this fact or fiction? For those who say "fact", please explain:
1. how is such manipulation achieved?;and

2. specifically how and why do MM benefit from such manipulation?

Always trying to learn something new.
