You are getting to old!!

What nubile young female of the human race was ever interested in the nerd.

Intelligent choice as practiced by a few on this thread would lead to the choice of the nerd, but then what delectable young lass is not interested in the football quarterback, or the stud with dynamic wheels.

intelligent choice is not an option. Evolutionary influences, i.e. genes define what is sexually attractive, not intelligent choice. In fact it goes far beyond just beef or brawn.

Beauty studies (discover magazine Feb 2000) (studies of what makes for beauty) show that average is beautiful, the more average the features the more beautiful in general the face.

In my own experience I find an uncanny thing. My first fiancee through no foresight or knowledge on my part happened to be my fathers first wifes niece. I am told they looked damn near identical. My oldest son fell head over heels in love at first sight with a girl (now his wife) that it turns out could have passed both in mannerisms and looks for his maternal grandmother at the same age, and my younger son married a woman who looks nearly exactly as my mother did at the age he married his wife.

Choice of mate has also been shown to often be genetic in twin studies.

In any case evolution does not happen in a generation or 20 generations.

My choice in females is not your choice in females. However, there are certain features that are universally admired by men of all races in females, i.e.:

Large Breasts - ability to nurse
Wide Hips - ability to bear children
narrow waist - accentuates the above
clear complexion - healthy
features that are normal i.e. average:

not to long or short of a face.
not to tall or to short
not bo big or small of a mouth, nose, chin, etc.
eyes not to wide or narrow set.

the above cited study (Discover) also showed that age 22 years and 8 months was the most beautiful for a woman, i.e. the ideal child bearing age.

I think what you state has a bearing on mate choice for females when they are old enough and experienced enough to make an intelligent choice vs a "gut choice". (Second marriage)
