Don, I think the only "explanation" for stx jumping up 20% in a week is that institutions are buying it. The business prospects of the company have been obvious for many months. In the face of that, fidelity was selling 26 m shares. It didn't matter to them that they were selling at trailing p/e = 7 and forward p/e = 6. The guy had "SELL" on his mind. When they stopped selling, the stock recovered. In the past few days institutions are buying. Why ? I guess because "BUY" moved to their frontal lobe. How long will this phase last ? I sure don't know.

Meanwhile, I'm trading short term. But If this dollar-a-day rise persists for a few days, stx will get too expensive for me. I'll have to find another train to ride. Or maybe start walking.
