Erik,
The LaZerBrush looks pretty much like an ordinary electric tooth brush with a thick base and an removable clear plastic head. When you push a button, a red light goes on in the base and illuminates the head on both the bristles and in back of them. The light goes off automatically after 45 seconds. The tooth gel is clear. Although I didn't see it work with the gel, I was told that shining the light on the gel causes it to foam. Supposedly, it is this interaction between the light and the gel that causes the whitening rather than abrasive action common with other whitening tooth pastes. The action will work throughout the mouth whitening the teeth and neutralizing bacteria as a person brushes in the normal way. Don La Point mentioned that they have seen whitening of up to 7 shades which is the equivalent to using trays from the dentist.

Price was mentioned at $149 plus $7-$8 for the gel.

The infomercial is not yet finished because they want to hold it until they have approval to make the claim that it "neutralizes" (kills) bacteria in the mouth. My understanding is that the brush will be launched on the internet with the infomercial to follow later.
