I would define authoritarianism as "authoritarian government wise", thus my response.

I might extend it to sufficiently strong coercion that isn't from the government. ("Join our religion or we will kill you.", "Go to Church or we will beat you up" ect.)

Or to put it another way "God said it and I believe it.", would not be authoritarianism IMO but "God said it so you must believe it.", would be, if they are sufficiently serious about the must.
(Not "I think you are destined to hell if you don't", or "I won't be your friend if you don't", but violence, or threat of violence)
