...only calls to foreign territory are heard, no more, no less. Dan, you are telling lies. The calls are often domestic calls. US to US. Nixon ordered illegal wire taps for political purposes. He broke the law. For this he was impeached and resigned. Imagine if Nixon had the super computers over at NSC in those days? He wouldn't have had to put on a wire tap. Simply sort through all calls coming from the DNC, or any of the calls to numbers that had a connection with the DNC. All that would take is one well placed person at the NSC. Do you think that Nixon would have hesitated to use this against his political enemies? Now take Bush. This administration is the most secretive since Nixon. Do you trust Bush and his cronies not to use this super access to every phone call and email in America against their political enemies? I certainly don't trust Bush and his cronies when it comes to counting votes! Personally I don't trust any politician...and that is why we must have the procedures in place for regulating spying activities. That is what the law must be followed.
