Right, and a person that has a glass of wine with dinner shouldn't be penalized as much as the drunken redneck that just put down a 12 pack in the local titty bar - but that's what the DUI laws have evolved into. Zero tolerance laws mean that ANY blood alcohol level that, in the opinion of the arresting officer, impairs ones driving makes one guilty of DUI. I know a couple of local police chiefs (on a personal basis) that are shaking their heads (off the record, of course) over THIS ruling! Don't forget, the DUI crackdown was started to make people aware of the perils of driving drunk and get the habitual violators off the road. It turned into a cash cow for lawyers and local communities and made a joke out of what once was a serious offense.
