Andy, No, they are talking about section games only. The tie (1-1) was two years ago, also against Gateway. The tie with NA this year wasn't so bad since Fox Chapel lost to them 0-1 last year.

The High School soccer season is incredibly unimaginative. Not only are the same teams played, but they are played in the same order. Fox Chapel was actaully off to a good start this year. Before Moon, every game was a better outcome (they won games they lost or won by bigger margins). With Moon they won by a bigger margin (4-2 this year, 1-0 last year), but it was the first non-shut of a team they shut out last year.

Actually, the Moon game may have contributed to the loss to Gateway. The Moon game was very physical and most players were beaten up, including Nicole. She was sandwiched on a diving save. Her nose is probably broken and she was still finding bruises right up to the Gateway game. Although Fox Chapel dominated in the first half (outshot Gateway 11-4) they came away with a 1-1 tie and when Gateway took the lead, Fox Chapel choked.
