Why do we suddenly believe we have to yield the territory of our telephone and internet lines to the criminals and enemies of our country? The concept that the criminal or terrorist should have any "expectation of privacy" is a fabrication that emerged from the Watergate era, when it was more important to dream up new charges against the Nixon administration than to protect the public from criminals or enemies-foreign or domestic.

If you are standing on a street corner plotting a crime, or an act of war, you have no right NOT to be overheard and locked up. The same applies to telephone lines.

Laws written to assist criminals or America's enemies are and should be null and void from the point of passage...
