Jack, Its good to be able to read and post since SI seems to have been down all day.
Yes, it is good to judge ourselves and our motives although the Holy Spirit is the best motivator for believers.
Ponder this, my post trib. friend. The book of 1 Corinthians was written about 55 A.D. and Revelation was written about 96 A.D. Now identify the "last trump" spoken of in 1 Cor. 15:52 with the blowing of the 7th trumpet in the middle of the tribulation. Major fallacy in prophetic interpretation, my man.
1 Thess. 1:10. "His Son has delivered us from the wrath to come."
Just as Noah and his family as was Lot and his daughters and the children of Israel were saved (from the plagues on Pharoh) so too the Church will be saved from the coming tribulation.
The Christian is commanded to loook up - for their redemption draws near, (Luke 21:28)
