Cary,
According to my notes, during Q1 and Q2 of 97, CYMI produced 197 Lasers. In all of 96, they produced 135. My notes are somewhat ambiguous, but I believe that total end user installs as of now (or perhaps end of 2Q97) is 236.
Not every CYMI laser will end up in a new lithography tool. There is the PGILD requirement that we know of; there's also spares, warantee replacements, service contract replacements, WIP at Semi Equipment maker site, possibly other tools.
In any case, per the collaborative calculation done on the Semi - blood thread a couple days ago, I think we're looking at a price near $65 by the mid next year if the street anticipates by 6 months. For me that will represent a double in less than a year. That is better than I expect from the current prices of most of my semi equipment holdings and far better than I expect to do with the "Beating the Dow" holdings.
In any case, out of 8000 or so stocks we can choose in the States, there's plenty of room for all of us to make money, yet have different selections.
Best of luck, Ian. |
