Not being a fan of bloody action flicks I have only seen soylent green from that list.

Soylent green (processed human bodies) is hardly even a supplement for food for people 70 years of life one 80 Kg. body for that 70 years hardly more than 1 meal a year.

The problem is not a problem of overpopulation or too many people. The problem will be an efficient distribution system. 99.9% of the human race has only one thing to sell, their labor. If labor is worthless, (machines can do it better). There will be no means to distribute the goods and services. As I stated services will be left, but no one will have money with which to buy those service.

It is a real problem, it is looming problem, it will be here soon (no more than 20 years or so), the first skirmishes have now been fought (French Riots).
