"Wrong. Laura Bush was a known pot-smoker in those days.

There is some vague rumor that a guy who knew her as a coed was willing to sell a story about how he saw her smoke pot. This guy never seems to surface to account for the rumor. Who is that guy? Although the rumor gets hinted at once in a while in the less accountable blogs, no source is ever disclosed.

Then we get you claiming that she was well known a dealer and such, which would have put the issue in the stream of general knowledge for a small place like Midland. Yet no one from there ever seems to come forward as an eye witness either. So was she a well known dealer that no one knew about?

The accident was in 1963. Pot had not hit the party scene until several years later for the type of people she was hanging out with. She was a seventeen year old devout methodist in a family of Democrats at the time. The police report claimed both girls in the car were sober.

It is not as unlikely as you make it seem that she would hit an ex boyfriend. They had a lot in common, traveled in the same social circles and likely the same roads at the same time of day.

The Kennedy boys have a long history of going over the limit with booze and drugs, philandering, and exploiting women. Ted was certainly no exception.

There was a witness (who lived) at Laura's accident and there was plenty of evidence to suggest it was nothing more than that,... a tragic accident.

There was lots of evidence surrounding Mary Jo's death to suggest shady goins on.

You know all that already... but hey!

I figured Laura probably smoked some pot between 69 and 75 or there abouts. 90 % of the normal people her age admitted to it in those years. Yep even librarians. So, I would hardly find such a revelation to be earth shattering. I would think her odd if she had not. However, that would still be several years after the auto accident.
