In every instance I could find in the Bible the Lord came in a cloud and his glory was within it.
"And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory." Luke 21:27
"And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight." Acts 1:9
"14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.
16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped." Revelation 14:14,15
I believe that as God promised, he came back to fulfill the prophesies completely.
"35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." Matthew 23
How self righteous of this present generation to think that Jesus was talking to us, over 2000 years later when it is so apparent his words were meant for those then living in the first century.
Sidney can deny the immanency verses all he wants about the return of Christ in that generation. I have posted dozens of verses for him in the past and he does not care to listen or admit that the verses even exist within the Holy Bible.
