maintain employment? It is creating a large scale never imagined!!! Indonesia, China, Thailand, Malaysia! Millions of people have, in the last 20 years, been economically engaged.

Instead of fisherman backwater, rice paddies, plantations, factories have sprung up everywhere!!! You don't know how many outdate fatcories the Japanese 'dowloaded' to their neighbors.

When technlogy was costly, (era fo nefarious factors: Cold War, protected markets, concentration of capital) only a handfull of people could benefit and had jobs in the US and Europe.

They could not buy modern goods since their exports were dirty cheap and they didn't have the foreign exchnage to buy the European and American products.

From an Eropean and American perspective this was the ideal world. They cold charge whatever they want for their products and they could earn whatever they wanted with their jobs.

This lasted until the mid 70s. From there on the game has changed. Technology just to saty with what I work

More than 1/2 of world's population never heard a dial tone in the era re-globalization. Lots of nefarious factors (telecoms monopolies, state-owned enterprises, over-regulatioon, corruption, trust me I have 34 years in the business) A technological shift, put telephony at the disposal of most of the people in the world and will put even more.

The result of this cheaper and widely available communicatons will not is not yet been felt. It will take be disgested over the next 15 years. By 2020 it will have a tremendous effect in the world's economy.

Perhaps by 2050, the US and Canada transform themselves in huge national parks and Europe and in a huge museum for the masses to go there for tourism.
