Agreed. As long as folks recognize that's all it is, I'm OK. But I was under the impression that that recognition was absent, seemingly correctly given that no one acknowledged it until now, which is why I have made such a point of it. My impression has been that some folks think that a warrants process will keep the administration from bypassing the warrant process just as some folks think that all this snooping will keep us safe from terrorists. When people take polarized positions, nuanced thinking suffers.
