Shalom, Speak of the Devil! I write my bit and blow me down if there isn't some joker Robinson Jeffers who says much the same next second, but leaves off a bit. Okay, he says it better too, and that's good. Then you tell me there was a whole bunch of people mudding around with the same thing ages ago.

So it looks like a bit of a club. Some mutual interest. Now, I thought there might be an opportunity to make some money from this club, but I find there is already quite a huge industry ministering to people's fears. Much of it tax deductible, and some of it compulsory. 100s of brands too, so the market is fairly fully segmented.

There is even a bit of a protection racket going on. So for now I've decided to stick with money making ventures that appeal to me better. Some of the Churches Ltd are making real money though!

To save me reading [I'm really not into history or translation though JFred obviously likes it], can you tell me if they figured out what was going on? I guess the answer is yes, but please don't just hand me a bible, I'd like to dig a bit deeper than that. When I read it, the translation always seems to need more translation. And I wonder how well the chain of people who have been passing it down, translating, changing, putting their own angle on it have left E B and Z's ideas.

I'm not too keen on the competing religious brands I'm surrounded by, because nobody seems able to resolve certain paradoxes [okay JFred, it might be paradoxi]. The best one is "Determinism" versus the oxymoron "Free Will". Are there universal rules? Does the God Theory set some? If there are, then Determinism Rulz OK! And there isn't any "Free". If there aren't, which explains things like the stockmarket going down when it was supposed to go up, then Will can't be exerted, and it still can't necessarily be Free.

I suspect the answer lies more in the idea that we are something like a Tua Tua, which is a bivalve mollusc which lives in the sand at beaches in NZ. Imagine some Tua Tuas having a meeting to discuss the meaning of life. They maybe know that some Snapper come along and have breadfast on them from time to time. But it must be hard for them to develop a concept of Black Holes.

Happy little moron, sitting in the sun, doesn't know he's moron. "My God, perhaps I'm one!"

Shalom,
Maurice

There are lots of baby ewes being born as we speak. Daffodils are out too and blossoms. The sun is out. It's great. Lambs gamboling in the daffodils. Shalom gambling in the Nasdaq Spills? [Sorry to people who have read that a couple of times - the dichotomy of gamboling and gambling appeals. Jfred, I just like the word dichotomy okay - maybe it doesn't fit there?]

Doesn't your name mean "peace, or have a nice day, or hi, bye, or see you later? I know most Americans would know, but Lamb Shepherds are fairly unworldly.
