Saddam was in no shape to start anymore wars. At worst, he might have helped some terrorist group, but the situation we have now is more dangerous than before the invasion, mainly because Bush's reckless saber rattling, threats and unilateral occupation turned Iran over the toe hardliners.

Bush has also made Al Qaida stronger and much more dispersed, so that even killing Osama or Zawahiri won't make much difference anymore. The chance to knock out Al Qaida was lost when Bush decided to forget Afghanistan and invade Iraq.

WHomever takes over for Bush will have a much tougher job when it comes to Al Qaida, world peace, balancing the books and bringing our energy, health care and environmental crises under control.
