Lizzie, I surely hope that was the most facetious comment you have ever said. Otherwise, I don't even know where to start with pointing out how naive and uneducated it was. What procedure has everyone that you know had done overseas??? Give me some examples. The US healthcare system has issues, but do not misunderstand economic problems with quality of care issues. Do you even know what side effects are related to the misuse of synthroid...without rapidly looking them up on WebMD. Maybe you could talk to the family of a patient I had over a year ago. The patient is dead after 2 years of take twice the recommended dosage of synthroid because she loved how it made her feel initially. Why dont you come hang out at Mayo or any other of numerous quality institutions, and ask the numerous foreigners who have a choice of medical care why they spend the extra cash to come here. You shouldn't make nonsensical comments on things in which you have no depth of experience.
