preppy and redneck

So many people I knew in the south voted for him and not kerry - even though they had always voted democrat - I asked why - they could Identify with Bush more they said - he seemed more in touch with thier good ole boy values - "heckuva job" type language that Jon Stewart parodies really went a long way with those voters - they told me Kerry seemed like too much of a city slicker to get their vote. His policies did not matter, his ethics, history, etc etc - that he spoke like a good ole boy and kerry didn't was the basis of the vote. They liked carter, reagan, bush 1 and clinton because they all seemed to be simple good ole boys - for the common man - that is what many in the south told me. They will never vote for a "city slicker" EVER.

Do not hate Bush Tommaso - that is a misdirection of where your real frustration needs to be directed - at the idiots that put him in office. The many millions that voted for him because he uses words like nukular and heckuva and therefore could identify with him and not kerry and that was all the thinking they did for voting in the leader of our country.

Perhaps the people that did not show up deserve your attention too - there were a lot of voters that didn't show up the last election eh? Our society is becoming more and more apathetic it seems. Hate just turns you to the darkside - what can we do for the folks too lazy to vote and for the dumb rednecks putting people in office cause they say heckuva? That is what must change to fix what is broken no? Michael moore tried to get the slackers to vote - perhaps that can work in the future - but the rednecks I know - I fear there is little to persuade them - being wage slaves the rest of thier lives with no hope and no chance of getting ahead has not been enough to get them to decide perhaps a "city slicker" guy could make thier life better. They don't send me the red states caps and tshirts anymore - but I am certain a good ole boy type will always get thier vote in the future.
