I have done the treadmill,stationary bike and then found the elliptical.. It brings the heart rate up to the highest of any of the other pieces of equipment,is easier on the knees and provides the best cardio vascular work out..for me. And when I checked with the trainer she agreed.

Also, try going backwards after learning to go forwards.. UGH..

Of course the young chickies on there go like the dickens and I am lucky to get my speed to 50.... But do a mile and 2/3rds in 20 minutes..
