a) The media reports were exaggerated. "Sitting in their own excrement" has largely been discredited.

Huh? Exaggerated? Hardly. Dead bodies floating in the water. Backed up sewers in the Superdome. Dead bodies sitting on the lawn outside the Superdome. People sleeping on the freeway ramps.

Its only because you Republicans don't give a rat's ass for blacks esp. poor blacks that the tragedy in NO was allowed to happen.

b) Nevertheless, Katrina was a human tragedy, not an African-American tragedy, and certainly not a racial tragedy.

Yes, Katrina was a human tragedy but FEMA's response in NO was the result of a racist, indifferent gov't that you helped put into power.
