Sly is a partisan extremist. He wont admit to hating the USA because if he could get his party into power, he would declare his love for everything they could accomplish.

When another party is in power he hates everything that happens or that the USA stands for under their watch. So, even though there is a case for labeling him anti-American under the current circumstances, there is also a case for him to deny it (I personally think his position is bogus). If you can see how this works you gain an understanding of most of the irrational ranting that passes for 'discussion' on some of these political threads.
