I agree with a lot of your post, especially the tort reform stuff, but geez, where are you guys from? Do you realize that small business insurance companies are forcing clients into Mexico for medical care now? Cross-border health insurance is a hit with employers and workers signonsandiego.com To me there is no difference between healthcare and any other industry. My guess is some people out there are reading this thread and thinking to themselves.... hmmm, 40K for some procedure here in the US, vs. $8K in Asia, hmmm. Sure some people wouldn't even consider it. These are mostly older folks is my guess. But I believe reform either happens in our government, or the market makes it happen. Either way, how long do people think the days of $20K drug prescriptions PER YEAR are going to last? Not long, I think.
