SideStep hires former Yahoo executive as CEO Mon Jan 16, 2006 12:01 AM ET CHICAGO, Jan 16 (Reuters) - Travel search engine SideStep said on Monday it hired a former Yahoo Inc. (YHOO.O: Quote, Profile, Research) executive as its new chief executive. Rob Solomon, former vice president and general manager of Yahoo Shopping Group, replaces Russ Lemelin, who has held the CEO job on an interim basis since Brian Barth stepped down in April. SideStep operates an Internet travel search business that routes users to cheapest fares and bookings.
