The iranian crazy pres is in actuality far less evil (so far) than the NK great leader if only because he has not yet had the chance to kill millions. With NK we now engage their leader directly in the multiparty talks. Perhaps engaging iran with a group that includes Russia and China might make some sense at this point. Iran walks all over the euros but Iran may be far more reasonable if Russia and China and perhaps even India were involved. That would remove the UNSC from the equation for the moment but effectively do the same thing. Perhaps if Iran is included in the great nation group they will moderate their stance somewhat, particularly if there are carrots as there are with NK. We learned with NK that we have to buy off the miscreant regime if we allow them to get to far with nukes. We may have learned from Iran that if a country shields its nuclear facilities enough or places them in neighborhoods full of innocents they too may have to be bought off. Of course no deal if no verification should be true of any deals with NK or Iran. Right now the Bush admin rests it hope in internal regime change before nukes are attained. This aint gonna happen either. Mike
