The author's rhetoric clouds what he has actually written. Let me rewrite his statements from a less biased stance. Why does that do? Its not you that's nominated for the USSC so any rewrite you do doesn't change the situtation. Herbert didn't make this stuff up.........past correspondence and comments by Alito suggest that he is against Roe vs Wade period; that he is not all that concerned with minority voting rights nor racial discrimination; and that he is most concerned about pushing his party's ideology and expanding the power of the presidency. IMO these are legitimate concerns when you are considering someone for a position on one of the top three gov't institutions in the country.
