Yes, absolutely I do. Why am I sitting in the most powerful country in the world and am worried about Iran, a country which is the most powerful in the Middle East, but is nothing compared to America? Because we learned that asymmetric warfare renders our power meaningless to protect ourselves from a few men willing to end their own lives in an attempt to kill Americans. The Iranian leader is crazy enough to use nukes or pass them to terrorists who would use them against us and there is so very little we can do to stop that. We physically audit less than 1% of all shipping containers coming into this country. What if one held a nuke?

Iran has done nothing overt. Yet, the US has attacked several nations in its war on terror. The latest is Pakistan.......we wiped out an entire village. If you ask an Egyptian who they have more to fear, America or Iran, I suspect they might choose America.

Hysteria is allowing Bush to pull crazy stunts. And he is putting America in the position of a typical dictator except on a global scale. Once you go around hitting people with a big stick you have to keep doing it 24/7. That's how Saddam maintained his power and that's how we will need to do to maintain our power.

You lack of imagination is reminiscent of the pre-9/11 thinking that lead to the deaths of 3,000 Americans. Fly planes into a tall building? Now why would anyone want to do that? That is paranoid thinking.

Distinguish between paranoid thinking and knowing your enemy. All I can say is I'm glad you aren't in charge of Homeland Security or the CIA. You'd be having tea parties with the terrorists while we get blown to pieces.

Rather than knowing my enemy, I'd rather know what they are capable of doing. The US can do a bombing raid in a few hours. It takes al Qaida a few years to pull off a similar event. That means al Qaida is a threat and needs to be neutralized but that doesn't mean I would run around like a bull in a china closet hoping to eliminate them by taking potshots at a country that is supposed to be our ally. That's what happened this past weekend. Do you think that this is good policy? I don't.....not when you're using a baseball bat to kill a fly.

Never mind. This whole mess has gotten so sick.........we are behaving in a way that is irresponsible and unbefitting a democratic superpower. And Americans like you just don't care........its feeling safe at any cost that's most important to you and to hell with the future ramifications of current policy.
