I hope you never saw anything. Last year a friend was walking home here in Kona and saw three cop cars fly by at about 70mph w/o sirens(they did have the lights on). He knows what he saw because they almost ran him down as he was crossing the road to his apt. It was 2:30am. The cars went another couple hundred yards before making road kill out of a homeless guy in his 20's. My friend gave a detailed testimony to the investigating officer. A few months later all the evidence gathered against the police mysteriously disappeared. then other investigators started calling my friend and calling him a liar when he stiuck ot his original testimony. End result, other friends advised him to keep his mouth shut leave the island if he knew what was best for his health. He did. No officers were cited for anything in that incident. The officer who confessed to trashing all the evidence was suspended with full pay for 6 months then reinstated.
