Australian Department of Defence Extends TIS' eFLOW
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 17, 2006 -- Top Image Systems Ltd. (NasdaqSC:TISA - News), the leading innovator of data capture solutions, announced today that the Australian Department of Defence has chosen to extend eFLOW3 to provide the capability to use the technology within other functions of the Department.
For the past two years, the Australian Department of Defence has been a customer of TIS, through its partnership with CSC Australia Pty Limited (CSC). The Department has been using eFLOW to capture and convert invoices into electronic business content as the first part of a wider initiative to improve the overall administrative functions and processes.
Recently, the system was upgraded to eFLOW3, the latest version of TIS' signature software. This will allow the Department to extend eFLOW system to its human resources, personal files, and medical record applications as well as additional AP functions.
The eFLOW system seamlessly connects with the Department's SAP systems. It will process up to 30 million images a year, including structured, semi-structured or unstructured, from any origin, electronic or physical paper.
"We are delighted that the Australian Department of Defence has extended its commitment to utilize our eFLOW3," said Dr. Ido Schechter, CEO of TIS. "One of the many advantages of our solution, and especially when we cooperate with partners like CSC and IXOS, is their scalability and ability to grow with the growing needs of the customer and increasing document volumes. This contract reaffirms TIS' expertise in the federal government market, where we have proven our ability to reduce costs while improving service and regulatory compliance efforts."
"In the past few months, we have been going through an extensive process, aiming to improve overall administrative functions and processes," said Mike Seymour, Executive Director of Business Improvement Project, at the Department. "eFLOW3 has proven its ability to not only reduce our internal paper processing costs, but also streamline our business process operations and manage our accounts payment operations more efficiently. Now, we are excited to expand its use within our department, upgrading additional operations and processes. We are confident that this solution will provide the Department of Defence with flexibility, scalability and efficiencies to meet our current as well future needs."
"In priming this major project, CSC was seeking technology to automatically capture business-critical data, while seamlessly integrating with other workflow and internal accounting revenue systems," said Tony Nazor, Defence account executive at CSC. "Through the past two years, the team we established has excelled, providing the Department with the exact solution it required, allowing it to reduce cost and improve processes. We are confident we will be able to keep answering the Department's needs while expanding the solution we provide into additional varied areas and services."
