Dear Dabum {or others using Ameritrade},

i am in on the EPEX play. i entered my buy limit order pre-market and got filled at $27.99. When i tried to set a stop at $27.35 it would not 'take it,' as i had {at the time} no position in EPEX.

As soon as the market opened and i got my fill, i first placed a stop limit, but then when i tried to also place a {simple} stop underneath, the system told me to check my portfolio holdings quantity.

In other words, it appears that Ameritrade will not accept both - is this so or am i doing something wrong?

MUCH TIA {from a newbie}

Your friend,

mark

PS - If it is the case that only one stop can be entered, which is preferable?
