There was an article in my paper today about Iran's nuclear ambitions. In a bullet point dumbed-down "explanation", it answered WHY Iran wanted nukes:

"The speculation is that it Iran international respect, a hedge against US and Arab hostility, and a bargaining chip against US economic sanctions."

--No mention of Israel's 200-400 nukes and antipathy twoard Iran! It does mention US "hostility", but doesn't mention that the US has INVADED and taken over the countries bordering Iran on it's east and west just in the last five years! Iran would be insanely passive NOT to want defensive nukes!

Iran wants nukes because of a US policy of ignoring Israel's nuclear buildup, and the US's aggressive policy of "regieme change" through invasion. If WE were in Iran's shoes, we'd be voting for our government to get nukes sooner rather than later too. It's our own reactionary foreign policy that has both driven and enabled Iran.

Why doesn't some responisble news organization, when reporting on Iran's nuclear ambitions, put up a map of the ME showing how we have INVADED the countries to Iran's east and west? Why don't they mention that Israel has 200-400 "secret" nukes and missiles that put Iran at risk of being glssed over inside 10 minutes from Israel?
