It has been a long time since I owned and followed LIDAK, but as I recall, Lidakol is to be used primarily for cold sores. If I am right, then readers of this BB might want to take a look at p.44 of the most recent "Prevention" magazine. They describe results published in the JAMA about a drug called penciclovir (Denavir) that produced healing about 17 hrs. to a full day sooner and pain reduction on an average of 16 hrs. Is this drug in competition with Lidakol?????? Evidently, it can be prescribed at present.
