My view is not simple or simplistic, it comes from real life experiences in watching others either succeed or fail. I've devoted a large part of my life to understanding what it is that makes someone stay poor or slip into being poor. I came from crushing poverty. A lot of my childhood friends and acquaintances died of drug overdoses or were jailed. My husband came from a similar background and has similar experiences. At some point both of us decided that we would give up destructive behavior and do what was needed to pull ourselves up. He decided long before I did, I was actually quite late, in my 30s before I got my chit together. Statistics would have me in jail most of my life considering the circumstances I was dealt as a child. When they were handing out privileges at the Edna B. Conklin Home for Children in Hackensack, NJ they ran out long before they got to the kids whose last name started with Z.

This is not to say that you can't do everything right and wind up with some terrible tragedy taking you out. A very large part of life is just chance. Bad stuff happens every day to good people. Luck doesn't spare the wealthy either, rich people die of cancer every day. Life is something we always wind up losing.

Plus, there are far worse things than living a simple life without much money. In fact if you read most rags to riches stories you will find that more often than not the riches part turns out to be a living hell. Money can bring on far worse horrors than being poor ever did. Look how unhappy most people on SI are, yet one could accurately guess that most are on the right side of any income distribution. All they see is half empty. My greatest asset is that I can be happy with very little.

BTW your problems with women have zero to do with the Internet or the fact that women work or whatever BS you and your friends want to think up. Your problem is that you don't really like women, you dislike them intensely and I'm reasonable certain this is apparent from the first words out of your mouth. I'm not saying you may not be justified in this dislike, it sounds like you meet a lot of dregs, but you can't really blame them for running in the other direction from you, it's self-preservation on their part.
