Last I heard, they STILL claimed the right to declare *anyone* an 'enemy combatant' (WITHOUT court review), thereby repealing constitutional rights that would otherwise adhere to that individual if they were American... and now the 'right' to wiretap Americans (without warrant) if they are speaking telephonically with anyone overseas... and the 'right' to listen-in on lawyer-client conversations... add those to the 9-11 expansions of Executive powers that Congress so blithely granted (sneek-n-peek searches, wiretapping expansions, making it *illegal*, a new federal crime, to even TELL ANYONE --- like the Press, for instance --- if you have been served)... and the STEADY EXPANSION of FEDERAL POWERS that has been going on for DECADES (added and abeited by the Supreme Court and Congress), the expansion of the Commerce Clause to include everything under the sun --- thus expanding federal power everywhere, expansion of imminent domain, doing away with the 'innocent until proven guilty' presumption in federal asset forteiture law, etc., etc.
