At that rate, Protestant luminaries such as Luther, Calvin and Zwingli will one day be branded "anti-Catholic racists". If everything is racism then nothing is. Of course, the ploy of those (far-)rightwing mudslingers is blatant if captious: they merely seek to strip any legitimacy from their opponents' arguments by psychologizing them. Indeed, it's one thing, for instance, to listen to the rational, sensible arguments of Marxist and anarchist activists about the class struggle, the rich vs poor divide, the growing economic inequalities, etc. but quite another to hear the rants of "anti-rich racists". The latter are just hateful, irrational misfits who, somehow, rationalize their own failures by fomenting disorder and class warfare...
