(Nasdaq: NUAN), formerly ScanSoft, Inc., and KONICA MINOLTA PRINTING SOLUTIONS U.S.A., INC. today announced that the companies have signed a worldwide license agreement wherein ScanSoft® PaperPort® SE will be bundled as the document management standard with the KONICA MINOLTA premier laser all-in-ones (AIOs). ScanSoft PaperPort is the world's most popular PC document management and scanning application for Microsoft Windows.
Under this agreement, KONICA MINOLTA will bundle ScanSoft PaperPort SE from Nuance with the new magicolor® 2480 MF, PagePro(TM) 1380 MF, and PagePro 1390 MF laser all-in-ones. Used by millions - from the home office to legal, medical, corporate and government organizations - PaperPort allows people to quickly organize all of their PC files, including scanned paper, PDF files, digital documents and photographs. The product does this by combining complete support for PDF files and the convenience of All-in-One Search(TM) into an easy-to-use desktop application. PaperPort has gained industry respect for the unique way it allows customers to organize, find and share documents, including winning "Product of the Year" and repeated "Editors' Choice" awards from PC Magazine, and being named one of the "Hottest 50 Products" by Smart Computing in 2004.
