Perhaps they've become more optimistic but you might recall that back in September (per SSB) LG "thought that calendar 2006 {WCDMA] volumes would come in around 60 million units."

You are right, I had forgotten how pessimistic LG has been with the WCDMA projections. They are now up to >75 million but that still is far below Q's projection. We'll have to see if they update that with their year-end earnings call.

The part that surprises me is that I am fairly sure that Ericsson was more bullish than Q about WCDMA throughout '05. What changed?
