What is Bush's excuse, that congress or the Constitution gave him permission to wiretap Americans without warrants? Bush and his advisers knows perfectly well that they have acted illegally. Now, they will try their usual tactic of create confusion for the American people by pretending they have not. I'm amazed how this administration thinks it can get away with anything: Bush doesn't intend to follow the ban on torture either. The strategy here is that the Administration will decide what torture means: if they do it, it's not ... Basically, this president believes that he is above the law.
