Yes indeed the tide has turned for the worse for Bush. No true patriotic American will tolerate a US President raping the fundamental American values and ordering wiretaps "without seeking court approval." Even worse is he doing so for an infinite length of time.

The constitution does provide the President the authority but it just doesn't stop there. The authority he is talking about is provided by the Constitution to a joint authority consisting of the President and the Judiciary. He just went ahead and excercised the authority of the President and deliberately excluded the Judiciary. That is a clear violation of law.

The fascist right wingers are running scared and pointing to acts of past Presidents like Clinton. That doesn't work. What these blogs are doing reminds me of high schoolers who say that they did drugs or did something wrong because others did so. This is not high school. This is the Presidency we are talking about.
