a federal pension system where managers are selected and choices given to investors within the context of fiduciary responsiblity. Sounds fine to me. Lets be honest, what would you choose defined benefits or defined contributions? contributions Most folks would be buying enron loaded hyped funds at some point and blow the retirment imho. I think most people, if given the choice, would stick it in a low return but safe account and earn less than they could. A lot of people with company savings accounts do that.
