Most food is grown here in the US.
Cattle, oranges, sheep, pigs, corn, beans, wheat.

Exactly why is food going to skyrocket?

Have you looked at a chart of corn lately?
Go back to 1940
Corn prices are about the same.
Corn prices will be governed by weather and other factors.
Bean will be governed by bean rust and weather.

Cattle?
If prices go thru the roof and people are unemployed they will not buy beef.

Disappear from shelves?
Please be serious.
Exactly who will be buying and on what income.

None of these arguments hold water in a period of rising unemployment and falling wages.

That is the crux.
No matter how hard you twist and turn you simply can not get around falling wages and rising unemployment.

Unless and until you do, your inflation scenarios do not hold water.
