If for some reason Al Gore decides not to run in 2008, then my top choice would be Mark Warner...Gore would make a wonderful president...Yet, he is focusing his life now on family and the global warming issue. So, could we give former Virginia Gov. Mark Warner, born in Indiana, some consideration? Virginia last supported a Democrat for President the last time America elected a then U.S. senator. It was a 43-yr. old with the initials JFK. In Nov. 2008 Warner would be 54 and his ideal running mate, Barack Obama, would be 47. A Warner/Obama ticket would turn several red states blue. This is called "WINNING". If I were Karl Rove, the last ticket I would want to run against would be Warner/Obama. Perhaps some of Obama's charisma could even rub-off on Warner...;-)
