Profiling has regional differences. Come up to Vancouver some time. Too many distracted drivers out there, period. Drugged, drunk, innocently plagued with sleep deprivation, or just plain worried sick. Signal right, turn left. Better yet, don't signal at all! Keep 'em guessin' - the next move will be a complete surprise. Young overconfident and dangerous. Old and overcautious: leaving a trail of anger frustration and dangerous passing as they dawdle along the high-speed lane. Would-be F1 drivers slalom through traffic. Newcomers can't read english. All with and without cellphones. Or Crackberries. Or a DVD movie playing in the dash. PDAs, notebooks, laptops. Hot coffee, and hamburgers - spilled at 60. Reading GPS and map displays 10 feet off someone's bumper at 80. Drive like a hunted animal. Because that's what you are. (Thanks, guys. I've always wanted to post that) ;) Jim
