I would agree with this but what kind of timeframe are we looking at? Since the actual job loss/job claims numbers are hard to come by, it seems everyone is left to guess at the numbers? The credit bubble has no doubt allowed the average joe to keep spending regardless of income and/or income loss and/or inflation, yet, there is no solid indication of faltering. Yes, debt is up and yes deficits are up, etc. It seems like all the pieces are in place for a credit collapse, yet, things match on. Odd really. I am not sure many would have thought it could be held up this long?
